The new academic year at Silver Linings School began with an exciting adventure as the children embarked on their first field trip to the scenic and historic Bradgate Park. The excursion served as an ideal opportunity for them to reconnect with their friends and teachers outside the classroom, fostering a sense of community and learning in the great outdoors.
The day was filled with exploration and discovery. The children hiked the park's winding trails, taking in the breath-taking views and learning about the local ecosystem. Highlights included a visit to the iconic Old John Tower, where they were treated to panoramic vistas of the surrounding Leicestershire countryside.
The trip was a wonderful way to kick off the new school year. It’s amazing to see how much more engaged the children are when they can experience their lessons first-hand.
The trip successfully blended education with fun, providing a positive start to the new term and demonstrating the value of hands-on learning experiences.
